This is a Rp from FAC, It was my First but my favorite, it's where I discovered my best friend Bandit and I hope it will flourish here. I give all credits to Kitzy. Here is the opening.
Quick summary of plotline for those who don't understand:
We are Werrein (from a planet with that name), and we are animals that resemble people in the way of wearing clothing, and standing upright. We have elemental magic unless we specialize in physical combat. There's an evil demon threatening to attack our planet, and we have to get ready to fight or leave - though I'm sure most of you would want to fight for your planet.
You, the troops (or perhaps poor who were suckered into the army to make money) are going to the palace to assemble before the leader of your territory (Jak or Kitzy) and await an inspection/orders.
Alright, this is my first shot, but its a scenario Ive been working on for quite a while now, and am hoping will work out properlyeven though it is somewhat complicated.
On a planet in a distant spiral galaxy, not unlike Earths, there is a race of bipedal animals, who have evolved from an ancient animalistic dragon race. These animals are called Werrein, and look like an animal should, except that they walk like humans and have a head of hair. The features that distinguish them from the animals on their neighbouring planet, Calypso, are explained as follows:
Werrein have large wings (feathered or leather, they dont express your standing in good/evil) that adopt a colour of their pelt or hair. Pelts can be any colour, and have any markings.
Werrein also have horns on their head that grow to symbolize their righteousness. A righteous Werrein will have horns that symbolize just that. The larger they are, the more righteous the being is. Treacherous or hateful Werrein have horns that face backwards off of their head. If a Werreins parents were Treacherous, they would be looked down upon by society because of their horn position.
Now, while this society has many races (except domesticated things, like a dalmation or a tabby cat), that is not to say everyone is looked at equally. The standings in society are clear, from activity and bravery in war. Ranks are:
1. Canis/Vulpes
2. Bovine
3. Feline
4. Equine
5. Anything else (Rodents, etc)
And, a Reptile would be ranked as a holy being (Priest, etc) or an ancestor.
Now heres where the story takes place;
This world is an odd place, with magic being taught normally in schools, and specialty classes for specific magic types. Basic magic being Water, Fire, Wind and Earth, and the more advanced types such as healing and raising the dead being left for those who are strong enough to handle it. While its an advantage learning magic, it weakens your physical strength and defenses and leaves you open to physical assault. Luckily, most enemies would use magic over strength, and this is how many wars between Werrein and Kae (a Phoenix/demon race on a nearby planet) are won. Of course, as of late there has been a very rich and powerful Kaeain (known as the Demon Lord) who has been waging war against other planets in order to gain possession of their resources to sell in markets all across the galaxy.
The Demon Lord has waged war against the neighbouring pacifist planet Calypso, and many of the inhabitants have been coming to Werrein in order to escape the Demon Lords soldiers.
Due to their small wings and lack of horns, Werrein dont respect Calypsans very much and see them as weak refugees.
Calypsans dont use magic as much as Werrein do, for they arent as religious as the Werrein and believe in peace with the elements and nature. Some Calypsans are willing to become warriors for the better good, and they are physically extremely powerful compared to Werrein.
Alright, so basicly you can pick your species, standings in good/evil, planet of origin, etcbut the main plot takes place on Werrein.
Bad guys can be controlled by whomever, but leave the Demon Lord out of this for now. Also, while Im taking charge of Kitzy Gemtail (the Fox princess/leader of the Vulpine army), the role of Jak Grey (Wolf prince, leader of the Wolven army) is open to whoever wants to take it. You can be pretty much any profession that would make sense, including inventor, blacksmith, magic instructor, etc.
The technology on the planet isnt up to Earths, but Werrein have managed to figure out space travel and electricity. They dont have cars, though.
Anyways, if theres anything else you need to know, just ask. The citizens are most likely going to be in a bit of a state of panic, unless they are poor/low rank, in which they probably havent even heard the news about the attack on Calypso yet.
Also, no more than 2 characters please, its hard enough to follow one, sometimes. Oh, wait for others to post...and post at least 1 paragraph, please.
Keep in mind, the plot starts off with frantic Werrein mostly planning to either fight or flee. Some of the Demon Lord's soldiers are already on the Werrein planet.
