Regan slowly came into view. "Sorry... I don't know what just happened there!" She gave everyone a smile. She stared at Rupi and smiled. Ava pushed her way inside and looked around at everyone. Regan tapped her on the shoulder and pointed at her arm. The bandage had come unraveled and was just sort of uselessly hanging abouve her elbow. Her skin colour was blue-ish under her bandages. "Dammit..." She cursed and sat down on the floor, picking up the loose end of her bandage and started to wrap it round her arm. Regan watched in fascination. "Sorry we're late." Ava said in-between chants.

Rupi smiled at Regan and handed Flamenco to her. "You can take that." He said.

"uh...thanks..." Regan stared for a moment at the bundle and wondered if she should put it down. She lowered her amrs but then thought better of it and just let the sleeping bundle sleep.

Flamenco did not seem to notice the change of person holding him, and gave a little snuffle in his sleep, one podgy hand reaching up to hold onto a strand of Regan's hair. He then snoozed on, his lttle pink eyelids fluttering in his slumber. Jei sighed and strode over to Regan, taking Flamenco from her. Timbe started to bawl loudly and Jei looked exasperated as she tried to comfort and silence her baby while also trying to hold still the sleeping form of Flamenco. Chester rushed over to Regan and Ava, shaking his fist at them. "Ye varmints! Where weres ye? I've bin waitin' for an age an' a 'alf 'ere!" the squirrel looked very indignant, and crossed his rms with a small grumble. Rosa ran over to Bandit and clambered onto his lap. She did not know who he was, but he was warm and fluffy, and she wanted a story anyway, so...

"Now, I know no stories of this world, but I will tell you a story of my world." Bandit took a deep breath, and started with this:
One day God came to a small planet. He looked upon the cracked and withered surface of the sphere, and saw many small animals, trying to survive the harsh wind. He saw a fox, a bear, a cow, a dog, a cat, a bird, and a horse. He saw them ,and He felt sorrow. He made a oasis for all the animals to live off of. He remembered the humans he had created not so long ago. He decided that the animals should live longer. After he had made all to live longer, God saw that the quality of life was poor. He then taught the animals how to walk on there back feet, and He shaped their bodies so that they could stand normally. While doing so, God saw the cow and the horse and the bear stood too tall. He made all the animals so that they all would be the same size. When all this was done, he gave them robes and other clothing. After he was done shaping the animals, God decided to bless them with knowledge. After this, He left the animals and went back to the planet of humans. Because of the blessing of knowledge, the animals decided to make a journey to the other side of the planet, which was green and fertile. The trek took one human year, and by the time they got to the other side of the world, many were on their deathbed. They slowly recovered, and they elected the wisest member of their group as leader. All agreed that the foxes were fit for the role of king. They soon set up a castle, and they multiplied and the kingdom flourished. All people on my planet are the descendent's of those first few. We have gone from fourteen people to a million."
"And that is the story of creation on our world," Bandit finished. "Every child is expected to memorize it. How did you like it?"

"Woah...children are expected to memorize all that? I'd never remember all that! But it's very....interesting and maybe a little weird, but who am I to talk?" Rupi said grinning.

Rosa frowned. "Why the foxes?" she asked. "Why not the cows or the horsies or the birds?"

Regan smiled. "Woah, that's some cool story." She always did like a creation story, just like Ava told Regan of her own creation story.

"Rosa, this is not my story. It is passed down from generation to generation, and has never been recorded. It may be that one of the other animals was Leader first, and the foxes stole the throne at one point. But as far as our written history goes back, only foxes have been Leaders." Bandit sighed. Then he gestured at his sack. "There is a book in there, if you care to read it. In the mean time, I am going to sleep."

Rosa took the book and ran off, sitting alone and pretending to read it. Despite the fact that she had not yet learnt to read, she refused to admit this, and began to trace the words with one finger as if obsorbed in the tale. Jei sighed and ruffled her daughter's bright pinkly-dyed hair, then sat down beside and took the book away, starting to read it herself. As her voice washed over the three young children, they all nodded off. Phew," said Jei softly, gently tipping the sleeping Timbe and Flamenco off of her lap next to Rosa. "I'm gonna have my work cut out when the fourth one arrives," she said this with a touch of pride in her voice, and patted her flat belly. Chester had curled up on Jeannie's bed, his thick red tail wrapped around his furry little body, and was snoring softly. He kept on punching the air, as if dreaming.

Jeannie climbed into her bed and was soon asleep with her arm around Chester. "Aw, thats cute." Rupi commented smiling at Jeannie and Chester. He stood up and stretched. "Well, dunno about you guys, but I'm exausted and I'm going to sleep. Good night." He flew up to one of the beams and settled himself hanging upside down, then folded his wings around himself.

Regan nodded. "I think I will aswell..." She yawned and went over to a corner, sat donw and quickly closed her eyes, hugging herself in some attempt to keep warm. Ava just leant against the wall, shut her eyes and that was it. She was asleep within the space of a few seconds.

(Well Monvikkisan proably knew this was comin lol ) Rupi mumbled something in his sleep and wriggled slightly on the beam. Then one boot lost its grip, followed by the other a moment later. Rupi fell onto the floor. He rolled over, rubbing his head. "Ow."
